Why Do We Hide Ourselves?

When we sin we don’t want to be in God’s presence. Instead we hide. Our joy is stolen and replaced with shame. We will even try to cover our own sin by blaming others. We All Try To Hide Our Sin But God comes into the messiness of our lives searching for us. God isContinue reading “Why Do We Hide Ourselves?”

Is God Kind or Severe?

In the The Jesus Who Surprises bible study #3 video, Dee Brestin shares that God is both kind and severe. What Does Agape Love Look Like?

Until I received God’s love through Jesus Christ, the word “love” was understood by me to be a feeling that I received from my mom, dad, and other family members when they were pleased by my behavior. When I behaved according to their expectations, I received smiles and hugs. When I did not met thoseContinue reading “What Does Agape Love Look Like?”

Adore the One You Love

Our King preserved the song of Moses and Miriam when they sang praises. The Lord’s great power created a wall of water on their right and left. We mayContinue reading “10 Reasons To Be Joyful”

How God Satisfies His People

Unfortunately there are no shortcuts to satisfying our deepest desires. God has a great deal of work to do in our minds, hearts, and soul. He breathes aspirations of love to us. He removes fear and prunes all our branches that do not bear fruit. He digs deep into our soul and plants a longing for righteousness that only He can fulfill.

The Holy Spirit

Hushing my anxious thoughts, I wait for quiet calmness. A hidden treasure protected by high steep walls. Listening to the silence breathe A tiny voice whispers within my soul. In the stillness of the early morning light, He sings to me. Simmering beneath the ashes, He waits. A precious spark reveals a rich legacy FanningContinue reading “The Holy Spirit”

How Do We Love?

We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 As a young girl my Heavenly Father whispered tender words  to me through his bible lessons. He promised to overcome my fears of the darkness. Not one scary monster penetrated his noble shield of protection. He pointed and revealed the glowing celestial patterns swirling inContinue reading “How Do We Love?”
